Tarpon Fishing in Tampa Bay, Florida

About Tampa Bay Tarpon Fishing Charters with Captain Mark Maloney: Tampa Bay Tarpon invade our bays and start crashing baits along our beaches starting in March! Our "Prime Tampa Bay Tarpon season is April through July. Come witness some of the best tarpon fishing Florida has to offer! Tarpon will be cruising  our Tampa Bay waters in the spring, summer and into early fall.  Large schools or "pods" of Tarpon will depart Tampa Bay and our beaches for their annual offshore spawning ritual in the deeper waters of the Gulf of Mexico in mid summer.  After their migration offshore they return to the inshore waters of Tampa Bay, St Pete Beach, Clearwater and Sarasota then continue their migration northward...  A good number of Tarpon will stay in Tampa Bay all summer as long as the water temperatures are warm and bait is in abundance.
